The Anuriqjuak Nukkiksautiit Project, located in Sanikiluaq, NU, is a wind energy and storage project tailored for deployment in remote and Arctic climates. The project consists of 1 MW (10-off, 100 kW turbines) of wind energy combined with 800 kW of battery energy storage system (BESS).
Growler Energy is partnered with Nunavut Nukkiksautiit Corporation and Landsvirkjun Power on this initiative, which is advancing towards construction in 2023.
The project is also supported by other companies providing engineering services that include Canadian Projects Limited and Frobisher Energy Services.
